Tasting Notes

Blushing red with a translucent ruby hue, this wine opens with an exotic lift of wild raspberries and red cherries. While subtle notes of cinnamon and nutmeg linger in the background, the aromatics remain firmly focused on the fruit, creating an incredibly inviting profile. On the palate, the experience mirrors the nose with exuberant flavours of boysenberry and plum. The warmth of the 2025 growing season has clearly bolstered the wine, filling out the mid-palate with soft, silky fruit. There is undeniable depth, yet the wine remains light on it’s feet and a pure pleasure to consume.

Vineyard Notes

This wine was sourced from the upper Yarra north-facing Willowlake Vineyard, sited in the red volcanic soils of Gladysdale.

Winemaker's Notes

Handpicked and de-stemmed for 100% whole berry fermentation on skins for 2 weeks prior to pressing to old French oak puncheons for maturation.
