Bright, deep garnet with a light purple hue.
Beautiful, fragrant and forward red fruit – red currants, raspberry and cherry. Under, there are suggestions of milky-vanilla oak, and brown spice from whole bunch inclusion. The palate is soft, juicy and round with fine, velvety tannins from start to finish. The crunchy cranberry acidity adds length and refreshment.
Fruit forward, balanced, but certainly not simple.
Handpicked fruit was gently de-stemmed for whole berry fermentation for 3 weeks in open top fermenters prior to pressing into French oak barrels for maturation, before blending and bottling.
A warm, dry early season after good spring rains has resulted in excellent crops, delivered to the winery in near perfect harvesting conditions. Resulting wines display a freshness and vibrancy with strong varietal flavours.
