All grapes hand harvested and sorted prior to gently destemming to fermenter. After a four day cold maceration, fermentation commenced and peaked at 30°C. Pump-over were conducted twice aper day, and post ferment, the wine remained on skins for an additional 4weeks prior to pressing. The wine then spent 15 months in French oak barrels maturing before blending and bottling.

Oakridge Vineyard, Winery Block. North-facing at 95meters above sea level. Planted in the grey alluvial loams of Coldtsream in 1996 to a mixed clonal selection and cropped at 5.3t/Ha
A warm, dry early season with ideal flowering conditions has resulted in excellent crops and strong varietal flavours. Flowering occurred in late October, fruit set in December and harvest on March 1st at 13.3⁰ baume.
