THURS SEPT 12th, 2019 | 7pm
Featuring an audience with Vincent Fantauzzo and 2019 Archibald Prize winner Tony Costa.
In anticipation of a Yarra Valley spring season filled with cultural activities, on Thursday 12 September, Oakridge will play host to a special dinner event celebrating all things creative and sublime.
Hosted by Comedian & Broadcaster Michael Veitch, guests will enjoy a Q&A session with renowned portrait artist Vincent Fantauzzo (a guest of exhibiting gallery YAVA) and 2019 Archibald Prize winner Tony Costa. The evening will also be interwoven with artist performances, including a final send-off by Yarra Valley Opera Festival: Opera Reimagined.
Oakridge’s hyper-local focus on Yarra Valley flavours provides the ideal gastronomic backdrop to this celebration of springtime in the Yarra Valley. The joy of the season will be reflected in Matt Stone and Jo Barrett’s dishes, with canapés and four courses showing off the season’s bounty from their kitchen garden and surrounding producers, matched to Oakridge’s spring release wines.
In addition to the dinner event, tickets will also include access to an exclusive preview of the renowned Archibald Prize exhibition at TarraWarra Museum of Art the following afternoon (Friday 13 September), before the exhibition is open to the public that weekend. The Archibald Prize is an Art Gallery of New South Wales touring exhibition with Presenting Partner ANZ.
