Oakridge has been awarded one Chef’s Hat in The Good Food Guide 2018 Awards, which were held on Monday 16 October in Sydney. The Oakridge restaurant and function centre, located in the Yarra Valley, is headed by renowned chefs Matt Stone and Jo Barrett.
“We are absolutely thrilled that Oakridge has been awarded one Chef’s Hat in the Good Food Guide 2018 Awards. This honour is a true testament to, and reflection of, the hard work and service produced by our team in both the kitchen and front of house.” said Matt Stone.
Oakridge Restaurant offers seasonal menus crafted by Stone and Barrett, who strive to be waste-free as they showcase ingredients from the Oakridge Kitchen garden and local farmers, along with wild produce discovered on foraging and fishing excursions around the region.

In the lead up to the Good Food Guide Awards, Oakridge Restaurant was honoured at the prestigious Restaurant and Catering Awards in the Restaurant in a Winery, and People, Produce, Place Tourism Restaurant categories.
The winery’s Chief Winemaker was also celebrated as Gourmet Traveller WINE’s Winemaker of the Year in September 2017. Oakridge was also included in the in 2018 Halliday’s round up as one of the “Ten Best Value Wineries“ in Australia.
The restaurant is open Thursday – Monday for lunch, and menus can be matched with award-winning wines from the Oakridge cellar door.
