Since its founding in 1978, Oakridge has been making wine in the Yarra Valley and throughout that time has been dedicated to producing some of the finest examples of cool climate wines in Australia.
Testament to this is the 2009 edition of the James Halliday Australian Wine Companion, where Oakridge Wines continues to hold the highest winery rating of five stars, an accolade it has held for several years.

Now a family concern, Oakridge is dedicated to providing visitors more than just an outstanding selection of wine, rather, an encounter like no other.
The Oakridge Restaurant, which is open daily from 11am to 3pm, presents a range of exceptional cuisine always relating to its seasonal surroundings.
In fact, chef Ritchie Boucher’s tantalising menus are guaranteed to excite your tastebuds and ignite your palate.
For Ritchie, every seasonal menu is a work of culinary art that takes three months of development to capture the essence of the Yarra Valley.
“I am constantly looking to bring a new set of tastes and sensations to the table, based on the many varied ingredients around at the time,” says Ritchie.
“Creating a new menu is a timely process, and when you craft it around not only the flavours of the season but also the wines which are being produced at the time, this makes for an even more interesting dining journey.”
Once the menu has been finalised, an extensive tasting session involving all of the cellar door and winery staff begins, where each dish is sampled and carefully matched with a wine. During this tasting session, staff is encouraged to express a viewpoint which can lead to two or three different wines complementing a particular food.
The summer 09/10 menu at Oakridge is well and truly underway and is a roaring success with casual diners, wedding planners, corporate event managers and Yarra Valley habitués.
