Following his completion of a Bachelor of Science at UWA, Dominic combined his scientific background with the art of producing wine at Leeuwin Estate and Xanadu wine, Margaret River, Western Australia. Here, a passion was born, which led Dominic to complete his Masters in Oenology from Adelaide University.
He then turned his hand to full-time winemaking at Mitchelton and Giant Steps/ Innocent Bystander wineries, in Victoria.
Dominic also has extensive International vintage experience, which include Glen Carlou in South Africa, Chateau Quinault in Bordeaux, Domaine Paul Blanck in Kientzheim, Alsace in France, Weingut Josef Leitz in Rheingau and Weingut Georg Breuer, Germany.
This, plus his Australian experiences has exposed Dominic to the challenges of producing many styles and varieties throughout his career. After working vintage in 2010 under the guidance of our Chief Winemaker David Bicknell, Dominic has decided to join us on a full time basis as Winemaker.
