Danny Kane – General Manager - Sales, Marketing & Hospitality
Raised in South Australia’s Barossa Valley, Danny has long had wine running in his veins.
With a plethora of rich local and international experience, Danny recently returned to our shores after four years in Beijing and Thailand, where he worked as Director of Food and Beverage in leading hotel and resorts.
Prior to that, Danny headed the Food and Beverage operations at small luxury hotel The Lake House in Daylesford, Victoria. As the Sommelier, it was his responsibility to upkeep the 700 plus wine list as well as to include a focus on diversity and regional product.
Event Management is but another of Danny’s expertises, having worked with Hannafords Special Events – during which time they won the Jaguar/Gourmet Traveller Award for excellence in Catering.
In 2000, Danny was voted in the top 10 Australian Sommeliers of the Year.
Always keen to stay at the top of his game, Danny regularly completes wine training courses and maintains lasting relationships with key players in the hospitality industry.
His passion and diverse knowledge of wine has brought him to Oakridge, boasting an energy that is filled with dedication and commitment to provide customers with an unforgettable wine and dine experience.
